Plant Sales

There are always plants for sale at the Connie Hansen Garden. Gardeners generate divisions of the favorites as they maintain the existing plantings. And Garden volunteers divide and share plants from their own gardens as well. Local plant enthusiasts propagate from the plants in the garden and bring their bounty for sale.

The plants you will find at the Connie Hansen Garden are often varieties not commonly available in nurseries, and are very reasonably priced. If you are a collector of the unusual, check it out.

There are hosts at the Garden on Tuesday and Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00 to assist you with plant purchases. If you come on another day and see a plant you'd like, you may place payment by cash or check through the mail slot in the envelope provided. Plant sales are an important source of funds with which to buy new plants for the garden and to cover necessary expenses. We appreciate the generosity of those purchasing our plants.

Special plant sale days are also planned from spring into fall, starting with the Spring Plant Sale in April, where visitors can find a large selection of plants with which to start their spring gardening.

The "Orphan Plant Sale", in late July, is the sale for bargain hunters, with some plants priced as low as $1.00. This is our way of offering our excess plants to new homes. At ridiculously low prices, garden visitors that day can usually find a thing or two to play with.

The Fall Plant Sale in mid-September offers some unique and choice varieties just at the right time for fall planting. Look for a good stock of local favorites as well.

At all of our plant sales, there is an opportunity to see the established plants in the Garden and talk "plant talk" with knowledgeable gardeners as well. Check our Calendar page for the next plant sale dates.
